June is feeling sun-soaked, cinematic, and intentionally effortless. We’re noticing a move away from overly polished content and toward imagery that feels collected and personal. Grainy textures, poolside blues, vintage flash photography, playful typography, layered accessories, and “caught in the moment” energy are everywhere right now. Brands are leaning into feeling over perfection with content that feels more like a memory than an ad. The overall aesthetic feels relaxed, nostalgic, and very summer-coded in a way that still feels elevated and cool.

The vibe this month is intimate, escapist, and subtly aspirational. The kind of creative that makes you stop scrolling for a second just to take it all in.

WHAT’S TAKING OVER OUR FEEDS

Jordan: Pinterest released their Summer 2026 Fashion Report and from what I can see it’s giving Sporty Spice(!) (My favorite Spice Girl)

Taylor: The trend “xx you dont need that” but it isn’t my name! I think it is so easy to use with influencers and brands to promote your personal interest or brand interest!

Katherine: This post DTC talks about how brands typically just try and be funny by chasing trends, but that might not necessarily connect with their audience. The best brands find a way to research what actually matters to their audience by looking through what their audience is commenting and engaging on, and finding a niche way to relate back to their audience. This caught my eye because I find myself relating with brands that produce funny content that actually relates with my life.

Maggie: DOT CAKES! Butterfield’s has taken the internet by storm with their viral dot cakes that all kinds of people/brands are trying to recreate at home — actual dot cake review + brand recreation

Mason: One trend that has really caught my eye lately is the viral “Flash Filter” effect on Instagram, which mimics a bright, retro camera flash. I’ve been seeing more creators and brands use it to make iPhone photos feel more editorial, elevated, and full of character while still keeping that candid, authentic feel.

Meg: The trend “wait this looks so cool I have to capture it” - first of all, I find this so relatable lol and I just love how simple and personality-driven it feels. It’’s an effortless way to showcase content that pulls people in naturally without feeling overdone.

HOW YOU’RE SPENDING YOUR SUMMER FRIDAYS

Jordan: Walking Nash, listening to podcasts, and maybe hit the pool!

Taylor: I will be spending my summer fridays poolside or at a workout class!

Katherine: I’m spending my summer Friday’s by a pool, getting active with a new workout class, and grabbing drinks with friends!

Maggie: I’ll be spending my Summer Fridays laying by the pool, packing for an upcoming trip, relaxing with a nap, or finding the nearest patio to enjoy happy hour on.

Mason: I’ll be spending my summer Fridays getting my tan back after losing my glow during the winter uglies. Taking extra time in the sun, early patio happy hours, and taking advantage of as many long weekend trips as possible all summer long.

A summer internship is more than just something to add to your resume. 1. Treat Every Task Like It Matters

Even small tasks are opportunities to show responsibility and attention to detail. Whether you are taking notes, organizing data, or helping with a project, the effort you put in reflects your attitude and work ethic.

What we’re noticing heading into May is a stronger shift away from traditional commercials and toward branding worlds, experiences, and activations that feel more immersive and lived in. Sensory marketing is also continuing to grow, with content that feels more textured, emotional, and designed to be experienced rather than just watched. Overall, it’s becoming less about explaining the message and more about creating a feeling that feels soft, intentional, and memorable. AI is also being used more as a behind-the-scenes creative tool, helping brands move faster and explore more unexpected visual directions while still keeping a human feel.

What we’re noticing right now is a shift toward content that feels less like a campaign and more like a moment. If it feels like something you’d send to a friend, it’s working. There’s a strong return to lifestyle-driven storytelling, where the product is part of the world, not the entire focus. Also, AI visuals are being used to create something slightly unexpected or surreal.

The common thread is that nothing feels overly explained. The best content right now trusts the audience to get it!

Social Media Trends We Are Hopping On

Taylor: “Wearing vs styling” content. It’s such an easy format for engagement and gives viewers a clear way to interact and compare.

Maggie: The “Oh Because” TikTok Trend is very funny, lighthearted, and has been gaining a lot of traction. Also love the “Loving Life Again” trend with Ella Langley’s new song and anything using Harry Styles’ new album audio.

Mason: AI-driven visuals have been really interesting lately. Transforming everyday objects or spaces into something unexpected, like buildings into shopping bags, makes content feel surreal and eye-catching.

Meg: Content that feels effortless is leading right now. “What’s in my bag,” quick GRWMs, and everyday moments are resonating because they feel more like watching a friend than a brand. It’s simple, but it works.

Angelica: I’ve been loving the “Cuz we can stay here, or we can go up” audio on TikTok because it is being used for motivational and aspirational content, and it really creates a sense of forward momentum (it also is a super catchy audio)!

Daryn: Mini mic content. It’s addictive, fast-paced, and there are endless ways to apply it across different brands and concepts.

Elle: I’ve been loving content that feels super shareable. Think inside jokes, relatable moments, or anything that immediately gets sent in the group chat. Behind-the-scenes content has also been standing out. Showing filming days, team dynamics, and even the slightly chaotic moments makes brands feel more real and approachable.

Reece: “What I wore on vacation” series are everywhere right now, especially going into spring and summer. They’re such an easy way to deliver inspiration while still feeling personal.

Reale Actives, Dairy Boy, and Daphne have all been standing out to me lately. Reale Actives’ launch has been really well executed. Dairy Boy’s sport campaign continues to lean into that strong lifestyle-driven content that feels immersive. And Daphne’s global shipping announcement was a smart way to expand while still keeping their messaging cohesive and on brand.

Mason: Calvin Klein

Their recent campaigns tap into ’90s nostalgia, referencing Carolyn Bessette and bringing back that era in a way that feels fresh again.

Meg: Summer Fridays and Earle Actives

Summer Fridays’ Sunlit Vanilla launch is everywhere because it goes beyond just the scent and really taps into all the senses, creating a full vibe and feeling around the product. And Alix Earle had everyone on their toes teasing her new brand, building so much anticipation in a really natural yet unique way.

Sweet Loren’s has had a very fun and engaging presence on Tiktok. They haven’t been afraid to try new trends and experiment with content, which shows in the fun, relatable vibe they’ve created!

Jordan: All things merch! I have been dreaming and obsessing over fun merch made for the agency, and I can’t step away! Thinking big oversized crewnecks, Stanleys, totes, keychains, and more! I’ve always been obsessed with CBK, but with Love Story now out, my obsession is growing! Which also made my obsession with loafers grow too!

Taylor: My current obsessions are any pastel and light yellows and all of the flowers that are blooming!

Maggie: Making my spring wardrobe (capris + kitten heels, yellows, polka dots, track pants, baggy jorts), the color chartreuse, and following Daphne’s spring break drop campaign on socials!

Mason: Hydrangeas and tulips around the house, and slowly figuring out my spring makeup routine. I’m into a really dewy, natural, and fresh look lately.

Katherine: My current obsessions heading into spring are cropped trench jackets, soaking in the nice weather, savvy b on a patio, and watching @aceatthebeach, @positvelypau on TikTok!

Angelica: Recently, I’ve been absolutely loving ballet flats, spring cashmere, tulips, fun stripes, and walks on the Katy Trail since it’s getting warmer.

Meg: My current obsession is anything butter yellow, polka dots, CBK, Rhode as always!!

Reece: Pastel ballet flats, tulip season, sunny weather, Katy Trail walks, CBK aesthetic, boatkins, and mixed metal jewelry!

Elle: Lately, I’m obsessed with fresh flowers all around my room, iced strawberry matcha lattes, adding fun pops of color to neutral outfits, and cat-eye nail polish (I’m a little late to this trend, but I fully get the hype now)

What We Are Feeling Lucky For

Jordan: I am feeling super lucky to have such an amazing team and spring interns! Also lucky to get to work on some fun events and campaigns this spring! We have a huge influencer campaign coming up in the real estate space and super fun spring events!

Taylor: I am feeling lucky to be entering my birthday month!

Maggie: I am also feeling lucky to be entering my birthday month and preparing for an upcoming beach trip before jumping into Q2.

Mason: Feeling lucky for a spring reset!

Katherine: I am feeling lucky for our amazing team of gals!

I am the marketing coordinator, where I execute client communications as well as meet with clients on a regular basis to ensure their visions are coming to life. I work on our retail center clients, and also lead our influencer marketing projects

In your own words, how would you describe your job to your parents?

I’d tell my parents that I help businesses bring their brands to life on social media. I also talk to clients about what campaigns they want to execute, where I then do outreach to influencers who align with the campaign to get them to help promote our client’s brand as well.

What’s one piece of career advice that more women in marketing should know?

One piece of career advice I wish more women in marketing knew is to be confident. It’s important to be decisive and make decisions with confidence. Even if it is your first time making these decisions, just slow down, do your research, and make confident decisions with grace.

What has been the most defining moment of your agency career so far?

The most defining moment for me over these past two years, is seeing my hard work on campaigns come to life. It’s so rewarding when you have been planning with your team and clients to finally see it come to life on social media.

How do you stay inspired and creatively fueled?

I stay inspired and creatively fueled by staying up to date with what’s going on in the world through reading the news or following creators on Substack who give business advice. I love a good Pinterest scroll as well.

Who are a few people in business that inspire you?

Maureen Kelly, the founder of Tarte Cosmetics, inspires me because her story of how she started her beauty brand is truly motivating. She did not give up and did not take no for an answer. I also love Hannah Chody and her story/background in business. She worked a full time corporate job and now she has several brands that she runs and makes it look so easy running everything (which I’m sure is not so easy on the inside)

What’s your go-to hack that more people should be using?

It’s not ground breaking but I am such a morning person, and if I know I have a busy day I get to the office early to get all my heavier tasks out of the way, that way I’m not scrambling to get something done when my brain is at a 15% at the end of the day

What are your current ins and outs?

Ins:

• Being confident in my decisions

• Not procrastinating (recently had a heart to heart with myself and decided it takes longer to put something off than to just get it done right then and there)

• Slow mornings with coffee at home

Outs:

• Doom scrolling past 8 PM

• Impulse buying

• Chaotic rushed mornings

What’s one bold opinion you have about the industry right now?

The future of social isn’t about catching trends, it’s about creating frameworks people rely on. Brands need to be teaching something valuable repeatedly, making their audience feel seen, and be consistent.

Strong visuals capture attention. Strong strategy earns loyalty. Creativity should always serve a clear objective.

When You’re Looking for a Sign: Brands are leaning into this format with subtle storytelling while staying true to their identity. Aperol Spritz nailed it by keeping their iconic glassware and signature orange as the focus of this graphic in a subtle way!

My Kind of Clubbing: Brands and influencers are leaning into doing anything but going to the club. Instead, the content shows coffee dates, shopping, or working out…activities that feel more “good for you” than a night out. It’s a fun, modern way to showcase products like coffee, athleisure, or retail in a lifestyle-driven format.

I’ve Got a Lot on My Plate Right Now:

This trend involves brands stacking products or food on a plate to jokingly show how busy they are. Used with skincare and self-care brands, but it works just as well for restaurants, coffee shops, jewelry brands, or honestly anything that can fit on a plate. It’s especially funny right now with the whole homebody, self-care, cancel-plans energy people are leaning into.

My Current Needs: This trend highlights products or food items in a much larger form! Think giant cups of coffee or bottles of wine to hyperbolize their current needs. This is an extremely humorous and relatable trend.

“I think nostalgia is having a major moment, and I don’t see it slowing down in 2026. People are leaning toward familiar comforts like vintage clothing and home decor, Y2K influences, and even handwritten notes.

I’ve noticed searches rising for things like vintage toys, classic comfort foods, and vintage jewelry, especially around the holidays, and that nostalgic feeling is carrying straight into the new year. Personally, I love statement vintage accessories that feel collected rather than trendy (Vintage Gucci Dial Watch with changing bezels has been a personal fav).

Also, one of my favorite Pinterest Predicts trends is Laced Up. Mixing textures feels especially fun right now, and lace paired with silk trims ties perfectly into that vintage, nostalgic aesthetic I think will be big in 2026.”

Hi everyone! I’m Mason, one of the Social Media Managers at The Nix Co. On a typical day, you’ll find me creating reels, curating feeds, chatting with the girls in the office, and of course sipping on a cold brew (nothing beats an office with cold brew on tap). On the weekends, you’ll usually find me at O2 Sculpt or mat Pilates, hanging out with friends, or getting creative on my embroidery machine.

In your own words, how would you describe your job to your parents?

I’d tell my parents that I help businesses bring their brands to life on social media. I take what clients want and need and turn it into on-brand, engaging content that connects with their audience. That means creating high-quality reels, TikToks, Instagram carousels, stories, and more. Some days I’m on site at a content shoot, and other days I’m in the office planning, creating, and posting content. And yes, a lot of my work looks like scrolling on my phone, but I promise it is all for research :)

What’s one piece of career advice that more women in marketing should know?

One piece of career advice I wish more women in marketing knew is to trust your instincts and speak up. Marketing is full of ideas, trends, and opinions, and it’s easy to second-guess yourself. But your perspective is valuable, and often the bold ideas that feel risky are the ones that make the biggest impact. Don’t be afraid to pitch your ideas, take creative risks, and own your wins.

What has been the most defining moment of your agency career so far?

I have only been at the agency for a month, but in that short time I’ve already grown so much in confidence and creativity. Jumping in so quickly and having full ownership of new clients and accounts right away felt a bit daunting at first. By trusting my instincts, leaning on my team, and really getting to know my clients, I’ve gained confidence in taking a client’s social media from strategy all the way through execution and posting. I’m excited to keep learning and can’t wait to see what this agency will teach me next.

How do you stay inspired and creatively fueled?

One way I stay fueled and motivated is by being intentional about who I follow on social media. We always hear that you should surround yourself with people who inspire you in real life, and the same applies online. I love discovering new people and brands to follow, whether that be fashion influencers, health and wellness girlies, strong businesswomen, or accounts that simply make me laugh or smile throughout the day. Social media gives us the opportunity to surround ourselves with like-minded, inspiring energy, so follow as many accounts as you want if they make you feel inspired. It’s 2026, follower ratios are officially out.

A few of my favorite follows at the moment are @maddymjewell, @meredithwyche, and of course @chelseaparke.

Who are a few people in business that inspire you?

I love following @emilyweiss, founder of Glossier, and @jesshunt2, founder of REFY. They inspire me from a career, style, and lifestyle perspective. Their marketing instincts are incredibly strong, and I admire how they’ve built brands that feel both intentional and aspirational. I also enjoy listening to the podcasts they appear on, and their personal style and day-to-day approach to life are constant sources of inspiration for me.

What’s your go-to hack that more people should be using?

Whoever invented the “Do Not Disturb” feature on the iPhone deserves a medal. When I really need to focus, I turn it on and tackle work in 15-minute bursts. Let’s be real, if my phone lights up with a notification, I’m not strong enough to ignore it, so this little trick saves me from spiraling into doom-scrolling and actually gets stuff done.

What are your current ins and outs?
